How do you run loan Facebook ads? Use clear posters in your audience’s language (Malay in this case), split campaigns by area, and use a messaging objective so people who need credit message you. Over 3 ad days about RM143 brought 11 messaging conversations (about RM13.04 each). Can credit and loan services run Facebook ads? This loan Facebook ads case is a Malay-language campaign YF ADS(颖峯)ran for a credit company in Kuching: two posters, two campaigns, and three days of Ads Manager data exactly as it is.
- 11Conversations in 3 days
- ≈RM143Ad spend over 3 days (USD 34.14)*
- ≈RM13.04Average cost per conversation*
- 924Impressions in 3 days
Background: why credit services want people to ask first
People who need funds want to know the requirements, which documents to prepare and how fast they will hear back. That is hard to fit on one poster, so the ad’s job is not to explain everything; it is to get people who need help to message directly.
So both campaigns are optimised for “messaging conversations started”: people tap the ad, contact the company on WhatsApp or Messenger, and the client’s team explains one to one.
The creative: two Malay posters
The audience is mainly Malay speakers, so all the copy is in Malay. The green version uses a city landmark and a photo of the company’s shopfront, with the line “Perlukan sokongan? Kami boleh membantu!” (Need support? We can help!). The red version lays out the benefits (clear information, flexible options, simple steps, friendly service) and a three-step application process, so people can see at a glance how to start.

The posters are the client’s brand materials. Phone numbers and details on them belong to the client, not YF ADS.
3 days of real data: spend, conversations and cost
Here is the Ads Manager data for two campaigns: the KCH (Kuching) campaign on 29 September, and the SBW (Sibu) campaign on 6 and 7 October.
| Date · campaign | Ad spend (RM)* | Conversations started | Cost per conversation (RM)* |
|---|---|---|---|
| 29 Sep · KCH | ≈49.73 | 5 | ≈9.95 |
| 6 Oct · SBW | ≈44.60 | 2 | ≈22.30 |
| 7 Oct · SBW | ≈49.06 | 4 | ≈12.26 |
| Total | ≈143.39 | 11 | ≈13.04 |
* Ads Manager reports in USD: 29 Sep $11.84 ($2.37 per conversation), 6 Oct $10.62 ($5.31 per conversation), 7 Oct $11.68 ($2.92 per conversation), total $34.14, about $3.10 per conversation. RM figures are converted at roughly 1 USD ≈ RM4.2 for reference only; the actual bank rate may differ.

How to read these numbers
On the KCH day the ad spent about RM50 and brought in 5 conversations, about RM9.95 each. Only 241 impressions means a small daily budget and a fairly tight audience.
The SBW campaign had just 2 conversations on day one, about RM22.30 each. On day two, with the same budget, conversations rose to 4 and the cost fell to about RM12.26. Early in a campaign the system is still finding the right people, so a higher cost on the first day or two is common, and we don’t judge on a single day.
Compared with retail or food cases, the cost per conversation for credit ads is usually higher: the audience is smaller and the copy has to be more careful. What matters is not how cheap a conversation is, but whether the people asking really need the service and whether the client can follow up quickly.
To be clear, a message is not an approved application or a deal. Eligibility checks, documents and reply speed all affect the outcome. We do not guarantee the number of applications or deals.
What to watch with credit ads
- Compliant copy: follow Meta advertising policies and local regulations; no “guaranteed approval” or other overstated promises.
- Match the language: write the poster in the language your audience speaks; this case uses Malay.
- Split by area: run separate campaigns per service area (for example KCH and SBW) so each has its own data and budget.
- Reply fast: credit enquiries are time-sensitive, so reply quickly and prepare standard answers to common questions.
- Daily feedback: every day we tell you what was spent, how many conversations came in, how the cost is moving and what we will adjust next.
To be honest: we do not guarantee applications, approval rates or deals, and we do not make up conversion rates. Ads get people who need the service to message you; assessment and service are up to the client.
Pricing
YF ADS Facebook ads management starts from RM599. Ad spend is billed separately to Meta or TikTok. In this case, three days of ad spend came to about RM143, paid directly to Meta by the client, and we never handle the ad budget.
